Blended crude from third-party and Cenovus production in Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as synthetic crude from the Lloydminster Upgrader, is transported to Hardisty.
With 4.9 million barrels of storage capacity, the terminal provides access to eastern Canada and the north-central United States through major export pipelines, including the Enbridge systems, the IPL Bow River South pipeline system and connections to TC Energy’s Keystone pipeline.
At Hardisty, Husky Midstream is responsible for blending Western Canadian Select (WCS), the benchmark for heavy Canadian crude oil. Throughput at the terminal is approximately 700,000 barrels per day.
With significant acreage adjacent to the existing tanks and in the surrounding area, we plan to continue growing our position at Hardisty. Our customers at the terminal include supermajors, senior oil sands producers, refiners and others.
